The Bendigo Business Council today provided its endorsement and support for the City of Greater Bendigo's priorities snapshot.
BBC Executive Officer Kevin de Vries said today "The Bendigo Council's wish list contains many objectives and elements critical for the ongoing growth and vitality of the city and region. The hospital development, improvements to water security, education and transport are just some of the opportunities that will lead to business growth, investment and increased employment as well as contributing to community well-being."
"The City's priority list includes many of the items raised in the Business Council's Business Issues 2009 document released in June." Mr de Vries said. "We believe that issues important to business are also important to the citizens of Bendigo. The BBC continues to work for a city that not only offers great lifestyle and liveability, but also provides tremendous opportunities for business investment and innovation."
"Connecting Bendigo businesses, addressing the challenges of today and tomorrow and developing our region's strengths were all raised in the BBC issues paper. It is most gratifying to see these reflected in the City of Greater Bendigo document." Mr de Vries said.
